About us
The Haven Continuum was established by Doris Kent-Rhone and Vinson Rhone from a shared belief that everyone deserves a safe, welcoming, and dignified place to call home.
Doris’s passion for housing was shaped by the example of her father, Minister Willie Lee Kent Sr., who led a men’s shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in St. Louis during the late 1980s. Doris saw firsthand how a safe place, compassion, and support could offer someone a second chance and help change the course of a life.
Vinson’s experience as a veteran shaped his belief in service and strengthened his understanding of how structure, community, and a dependable place to call home can help people move forward. His perspective reinforces their shared commitment to creating welcoming homes grounded in respect, stability, and dignity.
Together, Doris and Vinson are continuing that spirit of service by creating homes where adults are treated with respect, supported in building stability, and given the opportunity to move forward with dignity.
